Is your company registered, incorporated and/or insured?
(Correct answer is YES) We took the time to incorporate, register, and insure our respected company, which demonstrates that we are serious about our business. Most Long Island locations state that all vendors to conduct business at their venue be insured.
Does the DJ have enough variety of music needed to please all of our guests?
(Correct answer is: YES) Because we specialize in weddings, our music library will satisfy those with the most diverse of musical tastes.
Does the DJ have everything needed for our reception or will we be required to provide any equipment or CDs?
(Correct answer is: YES) Your venue should not have to supply anything other than electric and a space for our equipment.
Does the DJ have a complete back-up system available at all times in case of equipment failure?
(Correct answer is: YES) The newest and highest quality equipment can experience a problem. It is good to know that we have back up just in case!
Does DJ charge an extra fee for setting up or breaking down equipment?
(Correct answer is: NO) The setting up and breaking down of the equipment is included in all of our packages.
Is your DJ willing to schedule his or her arrival time early enough to allow for completion of set-up and sound check prior to your guests arrival?
(Correct answer is: YES) We arrive at your venue location approximately two hours before your reception begins.
Does your DJ use professional equipment?
(Correct answer is YES) There is a difference between the audio equipment you have at home and the equipment that a professional Disk Jockey should use. Professional audio equipment is built to go on the road day in and day out.
Does the DJ have a complete set of professional lighting to create a party atmosphere?
(Correct answer is: YES) Professional Lighting can enhance and make for a more festive.
Will DJ be properly attired for our event?
(Correct answer is: YES) We usually are formally attired in tuxedos for wedding receptions.
Does your DJ know the proper procedure and etiquette for your type of wedding?
(Correct answer is YES) Your DJ and MC will become involved with the planning of your special day and will be prepared to handle all announcements and special events on the day of your wedding.
Is the DJ willing to customize everything to our specifications?
(Correct answer is YES) Our services will be based on your specifications. Your party will reflect your style.
Do you take requests? If we provide a do and do not play list, will DJ stick to it?
(Correct answer is YES) We offer a shortened list that gives a profile of the type of music we have in our library. We will listen to your ideas and suggestions and make ourselves available prior to your wedding to discuss selections. We will never play the songs you have asked us not to play. Special requests should never be a problem and your DJ will be willing to play them where they are appropriate.
Am I obligated to feed the DJ?
(Correct answer is NO) No, you are not obligated to feed the DJ; however, it is a nice gesture to offer a meal of some sort while everyone else is eating. Often your DJs set up an hour before your actual reception, plays for a minimum of four hours, and will be there after your reception taking equipment down.
Is payment made on the day of the reception?
(Correct answer is YES) Final payment is usually made on the day or night of the performance, prior to the conclusion of the event. Payment arrangements will always be stipulated in your contract.
Do we have to tip the DJ?
(Correct answer is NO) The answer to tipping is up to you. If you know the DJ gave you a great performance then it is always a nice way to say thanks.
